Review Comments:
Founded in 1998 by relationship expert Dr. Neil Clark Warren, eHarmony has become the top dating site for people who want to be matched using a scientific matching system.
Far from being a casual dating site, eHarmony focuses on finding "the love of your life," based on 29 dimensions of compatibility.
At the core of the matching system is an extensive questionnaire
that all eHarmony participants are required to fill out. The questionnaire
took us over 30 minutes to complete, but on the positive side, it
was very straightforward, comprehensive, and fun to fill out. After you submit the questionnaire, eHarmony
generates a FREE personality profile ($50 value) which we found to be surprisingly
accurate.
Unlike other dating sites, eHarmony offers no searchable listings
- Instead, eHarmony finds potential matches for you using their
unique matching system, and only displays your
matches to you. Some members complain that they do not receive enough matches, but it is important to keep in mind that eHarmony's matching system is very strict. So the site does require some patience, but since membership numbers have skyrocketted in recent years, you will most likely have a decent number of matches to communicate with.
For people who want to take a scientific, logical approach to finding a mate, eHarmony is without a doubt the best site of its kind.
