may very well have the largest number of profiles on the Internet.
You will find no shortage of listings regardless of where you live,
and most of the profiles are pretty in-depth because of the comprehensive
questionaire that members must fill out.
Browsing listings and creating your own profile is absolutely free.
Your profile can include multiple pictures, as well as voice files.
Each profile is pretty detailed, covering physical attributes including
tattoos and piercings, as well as favorite local hot spots, hobbies/interests,
and even what pets you own. We have found Match.com's profiles to
be one of the most extensive and best available.
The search feature is pretty standard, but includes a "keyword
search" which can come in handy if you are looking for something
particular. Also available are "custom searches" that
let you get more specific about interests, lifestyle, appearance,
etc.
As with most dating services, you can send a "wink" for
free, which is just an expression of interest to another member.
When you decide to make contact with someone beyond a "wink,"
you need to sign up for full membership, which is $24.95/month.
Once you are a member, you can contact other members using a variety
of options, which include chat, phone, and email.
Overall, we highly recommend Match.com. It is a fun, well-thought-out
site with plenty of features and tons of listings.
